Immersion Thermometer can be immersed in hot liquids. Measures 30cm and can record temperatures from -10C to 100C. 
Student thermometer on card range from -40 to +50 degrees Celsius, has a plastic backing, making it possible to leave it in liquids without damaging the thermometer. They measure 15cm approximately and do not contain any mercury.
